How It Works:
Amoxicillin is a semi-synthetic penicillin that kills bacteria by disrupting cell wall synthesis. Clavulanic acid inhibits β-lactamase enzymes that render bacteria resistant to amoxicillin. Together, they provide effective antibacterial coverage.

The tablets should be taken with food to minimise gastrointestinal side effects. A typical dose is one tablet two to three times daily as prescribed by a doctor. Duration of treatment depends on the severity of the infection.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to penicillins or any component of the formulation
Severe hepatic impairment
History of cholestatic jaundice or hepatitis associated with amoxicillin/clavulanate
Infectious mononucleosis
