How It Works:
Amoxicillin interferes with bacterial cell wall synthesis, while clavulanic acid inhibits β-lactamase enzymes that degrade the antibiotic. This synergy makes the drug effective against resistant bacterial strains.

Take orally during meals with sufficient water. The usual dose is 1 tablet twice a day. Duration of therapy depends on infection severity and clinical response, as determined by the physician.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to penicillins or β-lactam antibiotics
History of hepatic dysfunction associated with this drug
Infectious mononucleosis
Children under 12 years (for this dosage)
