How it works:
Azithromycin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, thereby halting the growth and replication of harmful microorganisms. It is particularly effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, as well as some atypical pathogens.
Recommended for:
Administered as a slow intravenous infusion after reconstitution, as prescribed by a physician. Duration depends on the infection's severity and the patient's condition.
