• Syphilis

• Streptococcal infection prevention

The medication is administered deeply intramuscularly, usually into the gluteal muscle. The frequency and dosage are determined by the diagnosis and physician’s instructions. Sensitivity testing is recommended before use.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to penicillin or other beta-lactam antibiotics
  
  
• History of severe allergy or asthma
  
  
• Intravenous administration strictly prohibited
  
  
• Use with caution in patients with bleeding disorders
  
  

Side effects:

• Local reactions: pain, induration, inflammation at the injection site
  
  
• Allergic reactions: urticaria, rash, anaphylaxis
  
  
• Nausea, diarrhoea
  
  
• Headache, dizziness
  
  
• Rarely: seizures, interstitial nephritis
