TAXIM INJ inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis leading to bacterial death. It has a broad spectrum of activity against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms.
Recommended for treatment of:
Respiratory tract infections (pneumonia, bronchitis)
Urinary tract infections
Sepsis and bloodstream infections
Skin and soft tissue infections
Postoperative infection prophylaxis
Treatment of severe bacterial infections caused by cefotaxime-sensitive bacteria.
Prepare the solution for intramuscular or intravenous injection as prescribed by the physician. Dosage and duration depend on infection type and severity.
Allergy to cephalosporins or penicillins
Possible allergic reactions: rash, itching, anaphylaxis
Gastrointestinal disturbances: nausea, diarrhoea
Rarely: liver and kidney function impairment
