How it works:

Fluorouracil interferes with DNA and RNA synthesis in cancer cells
Acts as an antimetabolite to suppress tumour cell proliferation
Rapidly targets affected tissues when administered systemically

Recommended for:

Patients diagnosed with solid tumours
For use in palliative and curative treatment protocols
Suitable in combination chemotherapy regimens for various cancers

Used for the treatment of breast cancer, colorectal cancer, gastric cancer, pancreatic cancer, ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, liver cancer, and other fluorouracil-sensitive malignancies.

Administered intravenously in a clinical setting under the supervision of a healthcare professional. Dosage is individualised based on cancer type, patient condition, and treatment protocol.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to fluorouracil
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Severe hepatic or bone marrow impairment
Marked bone marrow suppression
Dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase (DPD) deficiency
