How it works:
Aprepitant is an NK1 receptor antagonist that blocks the signals responsible for triggering nausea and vomiting. It works synergistically with corticosteroids and serotonin antagonists, effectively preventing both acute and delayed chemotherapy-induced nausea.
Recommended for:
Prevention of acute and delayed nausea and vomiting associated with highly or moderately emetogenic chemotherapy in adults.
APRIFAST should be taken one hour prior to chemotherapy, following a 3-day regimen: 125mg on Day 1, and 80mg on Days 2 and 3. Always follow your doctor’s prescription.
