Capecitabine is a prodrug that converts in the body to 5-fluorouracil (5-FU), an active antineoplastic agent. It works by inhibiting DNA synthesis in cancer cells, leading to their destruction.
Recommended for:
Breast cancer (including metastatic), colorectal cancer (adjuvant and palliative treatment).
CEPEGARD is taken orally within 30 minutes after meals, usually twice daily for 14 days followed by a 7-day rest period. Dosage is calculated individually based on body surface area and treatment plan.
