GLIVEC 30 tab. (Imatinib mesylate 400mg)

• Chronic myeloid leukaemia (all phases)
  
  
• BCR-ABL positive acute lymphoblastic leukaemia
  
  
• GIST with c-KIT mutation
  
  
• Myelodysplastic/myeloproliferative disorders
  
  
• Dermatofibrosarcoma and rare malignancies

Take orally once daily with meals and a full glass of water. Dosage should be adjusted according to diagnosis, body weight and disease stage. Prescribed and monitored strictly by a specialist oncologist.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to imatinib or any excipients
  
  
• Severe liver impairment
  
  
• Use in children (depending on indication)
  
  
• Pregnancy and breastfeeding (unless advised by a physician)
  
  

Side effects:

• Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea
  
  
• Fatigue, headache
  
  
• Swelling (especially around the eyes)
  
  
• Rash, itching
  
  
• Elevated liver enzymes
  
  
• Muscle pain, cramps
  
  
• Rare — bone marrow suppression (leukopenia, anaemia)
