Administered intravenously under clinical supervision. The dosage is calculated individually based on body surface area, clinical condition, and treatment protocol. It is often given in cycles in combination with other chemotherapy agents.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to oxaliplatin or other platinum derivatives
Bone marrow suppression
Peripheral neuropathy with functional impairment
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Severe renal impairment

Side effects:

Neuropathy (numbness, tingling, muscle cramps)
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea
Myelosuppression (anaemia, low platelets, low white blood cells)
Allergic reactions (rash, bronchospasm, anaphylaxis)
Elevated liver enzymes
