How it works:

Pegfilgrastim is a pegylated, long-acting form of filgrastim.
Stimulates bone marrow to produce neutrophils.
Reduces the risk of febrile neutropenia and infections during chemotherapy.

Recommended for:

Patients receiving cytotoxic chemotherapy
Prevention of febrile neutropenia
Reducing infection risk and improving chemotherapy tolerability

Prevention of neutropenia and febrile neutropenia in patients treated with cytotoxic chemotherapy

Administered subcutaneously. The dosage and regimen are determined by the physician based on chemotherapy scheme and patient’s condition.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to pegfilgrastim or excipients
Acute myeloid leukaemia and myelodysplastic syndromes (unless prescribed by an oncologist)
Pregnancy and breastfeeding (with caution)
Paediatric use without medical advice

Side Effects:

Bone and muscle pain
Leukocytosis
Allergic reactions (rash, itching, angioedema)
Injection site reactions
Elevated liver enzymes
Splenomegaly (rare)
