How it works:
Metronidazole enters microbial cells, disrupts their DNA, and prevents replication. It is effective against protozoa (amoebae, giardia, trichomonas) and anaerobic bacteria. When given intravenously, it quickly reaches therapeutic blood levels.
Recommended for:
