Apigat (Apixaban) is a selective, direct Factor Xa inhibitor that reduces blood clotting without the need for routine coagulation monitoring.
Recommended for:
Patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation
Post-hip or knee replacement surgery
Prevention of recurrent DVT and PE
High-risk thromboembolic patients
Prevention of stroke and systemic embolism in non-valvular AF
Treatment and prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE)
Postoperative thromboprophylaxis
Apigat is taken orally, with or without food, typically twice daily or as prescribed by a physician based on the patient's risk and clinical condition.
Contraindications:
Active bleeding or high bleeding risk
Severe hepatic impairment
Hypersensitivity to Apixaban
