APAXANOL contains apixaban, a selective inhibitor of activated factor Xa that interrupts the coagulation cascade, reducing thrombin formation and blood clotting without affecting platelets.
Recommended for:
Non-valvular atrial fibrillation patients to prevent stroke and systemic embolism
Thromboprophylaxis after lower limb orthopaedic surgery
Treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE)
Long-term prevention of recurrent venous thromboembolism (VTE)
Prevention of stroke and systemic embolism in atrial fibrillation, treatment and prevention of DVT and PE, prevention of recurrent thromboembolic events.
Take orally with or without food, following the dosage prescribed by your physician. Swallow the tablet whole with water. Dosage and treatment duration depend on medical indication and individual risk.
Contraindications:
Active bleeding
Severe hepatic impairment associated with coagulopathy
Known hypersensitivity
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Patients under 18 years old
