How the product works:

Bivalirudin is a selective direct thrombin inhibitor
Inhibits both free and clot-bound thrombin
Reduces risk of thrombotic complications during PCI

Recommended for:

Patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention
Patients with a history of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia
In combination therapy with aspirin and/or other antiplatelet agents

Prevention of thromboembolic complications during PCI
Alternative to heparin in acute coronary syndrome

Administered intravenously. Dosage and infusion rate depend on clinical indication, body weight, and treatment protocol. To be used only under medical supervision in a hospital setting.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to bivalirudin
Severe renal impairment (without dialysis)
Active bleeding or high bleeding risk
Endocarditis

Side effects:

Bleeding (including haematomas, GI bleeding)
Thrombocytopenia
Headache
Hypotension
Injection site reactions
