How it works:

Inhibits plasminogen activation and reduces fibrin breakdown
Stabilises existing clots
Provides rapid control of internal and external bleeding

Recommended for:

Patients with heavy menstrual bleeding
During or after surgery (including dental procedures)
For internal or nasal bleeding
Individuals with high fibrinolytic activity

Used to manage systemic and local bleeding due to increased fibrinolysis, including menorrhagia, operative and postoperative haemorrhage, retinal haemorrhage, and trauma.

Administered intravenously or intramuscularly under medical supervision. Dosage is determined individually based on clinical condition. Aseptic technique must be followed during injection.

Contraindications:

Thromboembolic conditions
Severe renal impairment
Hypersensitivity to tranexamic acid
History of thrombosis

Side Effects:

Nausea, headache
Dizziness
Visual disturbances (rare)
Allergic reactions (rash, itching)
