How it works:
Bempedoic acid is an ATP-citrate lyase inhibitor involved in hepatic cholesterol synthesis. It lowers total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), and apolipoprotein B without affecting muscle tissue, making it a suitable alternative for patients intolerant to statins.

Recommended for:

Patients with primary hypercholesterolemia
Individuals intolerant to statins
As an add-on therapy to statins
People with high cardiovascular risk
Patients with familial hypercholesterolemia

Primary hypercholesterolemia (including heterozygous familial type)
Mixed dyslipidaemia
Adjunct therapy for statin intolerance or inadequate statin response
Cardiovascular risk reduction and atherosclerosis prevention

Take orally with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with water. Dosage should be prescribed individually by a physician depending on lipid levels and treatment goals.
