How it works:

  • Binds bile acids in the intestine to reduce their reabsorption

  • Lowers total and LDL cholesterol levels

  • Reduces itching caused by bile retention

  • Helps prevent diarrhoea caused by bile acid irritation

Recommended for:

  • Patients with primary hypercholesterolemia

  • Itching due to cholestasis

  • Chronic bile-acid induced diarrhoea

  • Supportive therapy in lipid-lowering treatment

Dissolve the contents of the sachet in water or another liquid and take orally after meals or as directed by a healthcare provider. Dosage is individualised. Maintain an interval of at least 1 hour before or 4 hours after other medications.

Contraindications:

  • Complete biliary obstruction

  • Hypersensitivity to ingredients

  • Pregnancy and lactation (use with caution)

  • Children (unless prescribed by a doctor)

Side Effects:

  • Constipation, flatulence

  • Nausea

  • Impaired absorption of fat-soluble vitamins
