ACIVIR CREAM inhibits the replication of herpes virus on the skin, reducing itching, burning, and pain. It works best when applied early—at the first sign of symptoms such as tingling or redness.
Recommended for:
Oral herpes (cold sores)
Genital herpes (under medical advice)
Shingles (herpes zoster)
Recurrent HSV skin outbreaks
Treatment of skin infections caused by herpes simplex virus (HSV-1, HSV-2), including cold sores and shingles.
Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected area five times daily, approximately every 4 hours, except at night. Start treatment at the first symptoms for best results.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to acyclovir or any cream component
Open wounds or extensive skin involvement
Children under 2 years (unless advised by a doctor)
