How it works:
Dolutegravir is an HIV integrase inhibitor that blocks the integration of viral DNA into the host genome. This halts the replication process, reduces the viral load, and increases CD4+ cell counts. It has a high genetic barrier to resistance and is frequently used as part of first-line therapy.
Recommended For:
Adults diagnosed with HIV
Adolescents over 12 years and ≥40kg
Patients receiving combination antiretroviral therapy
Treatment-naïve individuals
Those requiring stable viral load control
Treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults and adolescents as part of combination antiretroviral therapy
