How it works:

Enhances contrast of GI structures during X-ray imaging
Not absorbed systemically; acts locally
Helps detect ulcers, tumours, diverticula, fistulas and other abnormalities

Recommended for:

Patients undergoing X-ray imaging of stomach or intestines
Suspected ulcers or gastrointestinal tumours
Routine GI diagnostic screening
Assessment of intestinal obstruction

Contrast agent for radiological examinations of the oesophagus, stomach, small intestine and colon.

The solution is taken orally or administered rectally before radiographic examination. Dosage depends on examination type, patient’s age, and physician’s recommendation. Use only under medical supervision.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to iodine-containing compounds
Intestinal obstruction
Gastrointestinal perforations
Severe hyperthyroidism
Pregnancy (unless absolutely necessary)

Side effects:

Nausea, vomiting
Diarrhoea or constipation
