MYHEP contains Sofosbuvir, an NS5B RNA polymerase inhibitor that stops the hepatitis C virus from replicating in the body.

Recommended for:

Treatment of HCV genotypes 1 to 4
Combination therapy with other antiviral agents
Patients with or without compensated liver cirrhosis
Retreatment in patients with prior therapy failure
Interferon-free regimens

Chronic hepatitis C infection in adults as part of a combination antiviral regimen

Taken orally once daily, with or without food. Must be used as part of a combination regimen tailored by a physician. The usual treatment duration is 12 weeks.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to Sofosbuvir or excipients
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Under 18 years of age
Concurrent use with strong enzyme inducers such as rifampicin and St. John's Wort

Side Effects:

Fatigue
Headache
Nausea
Insomnia
Loss of appetite
Anaemia (with ribavirin)
Elevated bilirubin levels
