Sofosbuvir is an inhibitor of the NS5B RNA polymerase, an essential enzyme for hepatitis C virus replication.
Recommended for:
Adult patients with chronic hepatitis C (all major genotypes)
Combination therapy with daclatasvir, ledipasvir, velpatasvir, etc.
Treatment-naïve and relapsed patients
Patients without cirrhosis or with compensated liver disease
Only under supervision of a hepatologist or infectious disease specialist
Chronic hepatitis C infection in adults
Used in combination with other antiviral agents for increased efficacy
SOFOKAST is taken orally once daily with or without food. The treatment duration and combination regimen are determined by a healthcare professional based on the viral genotype, liver fibrosis status, and previous therapy response.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to sofosbuvir
Concomitant use with rifampicin, phenytoin, carbamazepine
Pregnancy and lactation (unless advised by a doctor)
Paediatric patients (under 18 years)
