Mechanism of Action:
Arsenic trioxide exhibits antiproliferative activity, inducing apoptosis and differentiation in malignant cells. It affects mitochondrial function and intracellular signaling pathways involved in the survival of leukemic cells.
Recommended For:
Indicated for patients with acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL), particularly those with t(15;17) translocation and/or PML/RAR-α gene, who demonstrate sensitivity to arsenic-based therapies.
To be prescribed and administered only by a hematologist-oncologist in a hospital setting.
