LEUCOKAST is administered intravenously or intramuscularly depending on the treatment protocol. Dosage and frequency are tailored by the physician based on methotrexate levels and patient condition.
Contraindications:
Known hypersensitivity to leucovorin
Pernicious anaemia or B12-deficient anaemia
Severe adverse reactions to 5-FU
Side Effects:
Allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling)
Fatigue
Gastrointestinal issues: nausea, diarrhoea
Leucopenia (in combination regimens)
