PALNOX is an antiemetic medication that selectively blocks 5-HT3 serotonin receptors in the gut and central nervous system, preventing the activation of the vomiting reflex.
Recommended for:
Patients undergoing moderately to highly emetogenic chemotherapy
Prevention of delayed nausea and vomiting following chemo- or radiotherapy
Hypersensitive individuals receiving platinum-based agents or other cytotoxics
Supportive care in oncology treatment regimens
Prevention and treatment of chemotherapy- and radiotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting, including delayed onset.
PALNOX is administered intravenously approximately 30 minutes before chemotherapy. The dosage and frequency are determined by the physician depending on the treatment protocol. Repeat dosing may be considered with appropriate intervals.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to palonosetron
Paediatric age (under 18 unless directed by physician)
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Severe hepatic impairment
