How It Works:
Atomoxetine selectively inhibits norepinephrine reuptake in the brain, increasing its availability at synapses. This leads to better regulation of attention, impulse control, and behavioural stability without the stimulant effects associated with traditional ADHD drugs.
Recommended For:
Children aged 6+ diagnosed with ADHD
Adolescents with behavioural or attention disorders
Adults with ongoing or late-diagnosed ADHD symptoms
Patients who cannot tolerate stimulant medications
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children, adolescents and adults
Administered orally once or twice daily, preferably at the same time each day. Dosage is determined individually by a physician and may be adjusted. Can be taken with or without food. Do not discontinue without medical advice.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to atomoxetine
Narrow-angle glaucoma
Severe liver dysfunction
Serious cardiovascular disorders
Concurrent or recent (within 14 days) use of MAO inhibitors
