Moderate to severe Alzheimer’s disease
Symptomatic treatment of dementia

Take orally once a day, preferably at the same time. Initial dose is determined individually by a doctor and may be gradually increased. Can be taken with or without food.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to memantine or excipients
Severe renal impairment (without dose adjustment)
Paediatric use
Epilepsy or history of seizures (use with caution)

Side effects:

Headache, dizziness
Drowsiness or insomnia
Agitation
Constipation, increased blood pressure
Hallucinations, confusion (rare)
