How it works:
Clomiphene is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) that stimulates the release of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinising hormone (LH) from the pituitary gland. This hormonal activation encourages follicle development and ovulation, enhancing chances of conception.
Recommended for:
Women with anovulatory infertility
Patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
Use in assisted reproductive technology (ART) protocols
Women with irregular menstrual cycles
Anovulation
Ovulatory dysfunction-related infertility
Support in ovulation induction for PCOS
The typical dose is 50 mg daily for five days, starting on day 2 to 5 of the menstrual cycle. If ovulation does not occur, the dose may be increased under medical supervision. Use should be monitored by a fertility specialist to evaluate response and minimize risks.
