How it works:
Ethamsylate activates thromboplastin and promotes primary clot formation, thereby reducing bleeding duration and volume. It improves microcirculation without affecting coagulation parameters. Unlike vasoconstrictors, it does not induce thrombosis even with prolonged use.
Recommended for:
Women with heavy menstrual bleeding
Post-surgical patients
Nosebleeds, gum bleeding, and other capillary haemorrhages
Diabetic retinopathy
Under physician supervision for haematologic disorders
Menorrhagia (heavy menstrual bleeding)
Prevention and treatment of bleeding during surgery
Bleeding due to fragile capillaries
Diabetic microangiopathy
Intraocular haemorrhages
Taken orally, typically 2–3 times a day, with dosage adjusted individually depending on the clinical scenario. May be combined with other haemostatic agents. Recommended to be taken with plenty of water.
