How it works:
Udenafil is a selective phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE-5) inhibitor. It enhances the effect of nitric oxide in penile tissue, promoting smooth muscle relaxation and increased blood flow. This results in improved ability to achieve and maintain an erection in response to sexual stimulation. Udenafil is known for its extended duration of action compared to several other PDE-5 inhibitors.
Who it is recommended for:
Clinical studies and evidence:
Udenafil has been evaluated in clinical trials involving men with varying degrees of erectile dysfunction. Studies demonstrated statistically significant improvement in IIEF (International Index of Erectile Function) scores. Clinical data confirm high efficacy, good tolerability, and prolonged duration of action compared to certain alternative PDE-5 inhibitors.
Indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, defined as the inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual performance. The medication works by enhancing penile blood flow during sexual stimulation.
Taken orally approximately 30–60 minutes before anticipated sexual activity. The tablet should be swallowed with water and may be taken with or without food. Do not exceed the prescribed frequency. Typically, it is used no more than once daily.
