OTRIVIN OXY Fast Relief is designed to rapidly reduce swelling of the nasal mucosa and improve nasal airflow. Oxymetazoline is a direct-acting sympathomimetic that acts on alpha-adrenergic receptors in the blood vessels of the nasal mucosa. This produces vasoconstriction, reduces swelling, and helps open the nasal passages.

Research and clinical evidence:
Prolonged or excessive use of topical nasal decongestants may cause congestion to return or become worse, so the product should be used only for the recommended period.
The product is used for temporary relief of nasal congestion associated with colds, hay fever and other allergic rhinitis, as well as sinusitis. Oxymetazoline constricts blood vessels in the nasal mucosa, reducing swelling and improving airflow through the nasal passages.
For adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older, the recommended dose is one spray into each nostril 1–2 times daily as needed. Allow at least 8 hours between applications and do not exceed two applications per day in each nostril. Do not use for more than 10 consecutive days. Before use, clear the nose, lean slightly forward, insert the nozzle into the nostril, and squeeze the bottle once while gently inhaling through the nose. Clean and dry the nozzle after use. The spray should be used by one person only.
