OTRIVIN Paediatric Nasal Drops are designed for the temporary relief of nasal congestion in children. Xylometazoline acts locally on the blood vessels of the nasal mucosa, causing vasoconstriction. This reduces mucosal swelling, opens the nasal passages, and helps restore easier nasal breathing.

Research and clinical evidence:
The product is used for temporary relief of nasal congestion in children associated with the common cold, allergic rhinitis, hay fever, and sinusitis. Xylometazoline hydrochloride constricts blood vessels in the nasal mucosa, reducing swelling and helping restore airflow through the nasal passages.
For children aged 1 to 5 years, the recommended dose is 1–2 drops into each nostril once or twice daily, with an interval of 8–10 hours. For children aged 6 to 11 years, the recommended dose is 2–4 drops into each nostril 2–3 times daily as needed. Do not exceed 3 applications per day in each nostril. The final application may be given shortly before bedtime. Do not use for more than 10 consecutive days. Gently clear the child's nose before use, tilt the head slightly backward, and administer the drops without touching the nasal mucosa with the dropper tip. Use in children should be supervised by an adult.
