How the product works:

Inhibits collagen synthesis and cytokine production involved in fibrotic response
Reduces inflammation in lung tissue
Slows lung function decline
Limits progression of scarring in alveoli

Recommended for:

Patients diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF)
Individuals with non-oncologic pulmonary fibrotic disease
Patients with COPD with fibrotic changes under pulmonary specialist supervision

Other types of pulmonary fibrosis as prescribed by a doctor

Take orally with food. Treatment is usually started at a lower dose and gradually increased under medical supervision. The dosage is individualized based on tolerability and lung function parameters.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to pirfenidone or excipients
Severe hepatic or renal impairment
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Age under 18
Concomitant use of strong CYP1A2 inhibitors (e.g., fluvoxamine)

Side effects:

Nausea, dyspepsia
Photosensitivity (skin darkening)
Elevated liver enzymes
Headache, dizziness
