How it works:
Tacrolimus inhibits T-lymphocyte activation, reducing the immune response. It is critical in organ transplantation and for treating autoimmune conditions unresponsive to other therapies.
Recommended for:
Patients after liver, kidney, or heart transplant
Severe autoimmune diseases such as lupus, dermatomyositis
Cases where other immunosuppressants have failed
Prevention and treatment of organ transplant rejection
Severe autoimmune diseases resistant to standard therapy
The capsules are taken orally, usually twice a day, as prescribed by a doctor. Dosage is personalised depending on blood levels and clinical condition.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to tacrolimus
Active infections
Severe liver dysfunction
